What’s up this Fall at Champlain?

Fall 2021 update

We really miss seeing everyone at the club and offering regular programming. We’ve decided to play it extra safe this fall, after the many cancellations and re-scheduling of the past year and a half…

Since everyone is still unsure how the fall Covid-19 situation will play out, we’ve decided to pause our regular in-house programming until 2022. We are open for private group rentals.

In-House Programs

In-house registered programs (yoga, boot camp, tai chi, zumba, RC Club) are not being offered this fall. Stay tuned for winter 2022 plans, as we learn more this fall.

Friday Park Party

Need a night out? Every Friday at the Champlain playground, families are invited to come on down for a community park play and casual hang out 6:30-8:30 pm.

This is a chance to chat with the neighbours, let the kids run around and enjoy some social outdoor time! We’re working on getting a fire permit for when the weather cools down. We’ll keep you posted.

Note: The club will not be open for washrooms or indoor activities. Please come with your water bottles and extra sweaters!

No need to register. Free and open to everyone!

Rentals are available for privately run programs and meetings – so if you’re looking for a space to host your own program or event, get in touch!

Masks & Vaccines

Based on the City of Winnipeg facilities policies, all adults entering the facility (as participants or spectators) are required to show proof of vaccination and identification. Youth attending programs at the Centre are not required to show vaccination status, so long as they are participants (and not spectators).

All visitors and staff are required to wear masks in all public areas. Masks are not required during physical activity, where athletes may remove their masks during play.

Winter plans

We are keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to host a Family New Year’s Eve event this year. Stay tuned in November for details.

Once the snow arrives and the temperatures drop, we’re planning to create the skating oval and hockey rink we all love so much.

Thank you to our dedicated Board and staff team for navigating these challenging times. Many plans have been made, cancelled and rescheduled throughout this Covid-experience. We’re all eager to get back to the regular programming schedule and seeing everyone at the club again soon!
