Activities take place once a month on a Saturday from 1:15pm-3:45pm, with drop off beginning at 1pm and pick up until 4pm. Kids will gain experience working in teams, working individually, following build instructions, implementing their own designs, and thinking creatively. There will be downtime in between science activities for games and movement.
we’ll explore weight distribution, friction, and power as we design mini vehicles that are powered by a motorized fan. How do outside forces affect the vehicle? Does it matter where the fan is placed? What about the wheels and axles?! With a mix of design freedom and guidance in the right direction, this afternoon is great for engineers of any skill level. The project does use smaller parts and requires some tricky steps, and is recommended for ages 8-12.
Please email winnipeg@engineeringforkids.com directly to discuss registering children outside of this range.
Kids should bring their own nut-free snack, a water bottle, and indoor shoes.
